We left Bloomington this AM and picked up a couple of mix tapes (CDs) from Sarah. They were interesting to say the least.
About 10 minutes into our drive it starts snowing and we are driven to a crazy 35 mph. I'm sick of winter. Yup. Ready for it to be over.
And
That happened. Yup. Those tires are less than 3 months old and it's a flat. I hit something on the highway. Fortunately we were able to get to an auto shop with the equipment to fix it. It got fixed and I got new wipers for less than $20.
Back on the road
Well, we made it to Ohio and are going to be able to see Santosh for a while. :) he does have to work tonight, but we will get breakfast with him. He also gave us some great ideas for places to go.
Well, we ended up at Schmidts. It is a German place that was featured on Man vs Food. It was a sausage haus with a buffet and you can get all of the different types of sausage AND the sides. We even enjoyed the dark beer. We got some German tater salad and Julie decided to try it.
As she found out it has Sour Kraut in it. And now she likes Kraut. :) I am pumped about it. Well this place was good and we even got desert.
Yup, that is a giant cherry creme puff and absolutely delicious.
And off we go.
We end up at the bar that sponsors Santoshs Aussie rules football team. Byrnes. It's an Irish bar with an Irish all women band that was a family and looked like they were enjoying themselves.
